MegaSquirt Wiring Harness – 8 Feet Long

We’ve completely redesigned our wire harness to help you get your fuel injection installation right the first time with several new features to help make your installation as easy and reliable as possible:

  • We use a custom made twisted pair cable with a foil shield for ignition input, for maximum noise suppression.

  • Thumbscrews make it easier to tighten down in spots where you can’t easily fit a screwdriver.

  • Wires for pins 3 through 6 have been added for CANBUS or extra I/O.

  • Your choice of 2′ or 10′ lengths  (see MSPiggy short harness)

  • Injector wires use two smaller wires instead of combining two pins into one large wire, reducing the number of splices needed in your harness.

  • Wires are printed with both their function and their pin number.

  • Dedicated sensor ground wire.

And, of course, we’ve kept the features you’d expect from one of our wiring harnesses:

  • IAC and Ignition wire have been added for MS-I / MS-2 use or MS-3 Primary Harness Use

  • 8′ of TXL High temp automotive grade wire.

  • Color coded wiring with labeling printed on the wire every 5 inches — no paper tags here!

  • All wiring is pre-crimped (NOT solder cupped!) to the DB37

  • Heavy duty metal DB37 hood for superior RFI/EMI shielding (no cheap plastic ‘metalized’ hoods used on our harnesses)

  • Wiring diagram included

  • Simply the best MegaSquirt harness available anywhere, at any price

Toyota ECUs that work with this model are typically marked “26T-16T-12T-22T,” often with one or more of these numbers omitted, along the lower edge of the ECU identification sticker. Note that the pins in the 12 pin connector must be aligned with the pins in the 16 pin connector, or in the lower rows on the 22 or 26 pin connector.

Note that Toyota also uses a connector called the 26T-16T-12T where the 12 pin connector contains wider pins that sit higher up; the DIYBOBN76-K is not compatible with this style connector. We’re weeded out the applications suspected of using this connector; as we check up on them, some may be put back on the list.

Note that some models above had computer controlled automatic transmissions – if this is the case for your car, the DIYPNP will not be able to control the transmission beyond control of a basic lock up torque converter. If you have an automatic transmission, please check before ordering.

We’re working to expand the list; this is just a partial list of known applications.

We’ll be quickly following with more models.  We’re eyeing the connectors used on:

  • The 35, 68, and 88 pin Bosch Motronic Connectors used in a ton of cars, mostly European.

ECU Connector Reference

In an effort to simplify the design of new boards, this page is a reference of known ECU connector part numbers.

Many times these can be difficult to find and are closely guarded by many wiring secialists who have significant price markups without supplying the manufacturer part numbers etc.

These part numbers are primarily for the ECU side.

Where known, a loom side part number is also shown.

In this session I'm going to walk through creating an adapter board that let's you easily use the stock ECU connector.

The availability of cheap PCBs and very powerful open source design software means that there's no excuse to still be hacking up your stock loom in order to wire it into an aftermarket ECU.
